Where the Heart is
This book was sad and depressing for 90% of the entire book. However, cuddling with my puppy at 4 in the morning I finally finish and get to the good parts! Glad I stuck with it, but I've read other novels by Gardiner before (under a pen name) and they had much less depressing storylines. She sure is a great writer though, excellent techniques.
